Theres a 1st time for everything…..

I hope everyone had a super Monday and got in an awesome run!! My day started out super sluggish because I worked on the ambulace last night and of course I got very little sleep. I did finally motivate my body to get a few things done around the house but it was minimal!!

As I am typing this my crazy dashounds are chasing each other and barking as loud as possible so if words are misspelled I apologize in advance, they are making me loose my train of thought.

So I told you last night that I was going to do my 1st ever trail run tonight, and I did, and I loved it. Im not even going to lie, it challenged me because I am not use to the hills ( and there are some huge hills at that park) but I set my mind on 7 miles and that is what we got. We broke off into groups, and I had the most awesome guide Mikie Pililo. This awesome lady is running a 100 miler in 2 weeks, thats the most amazing thing ever and I wish her and Heather Hart the best of luck in their race, I know they will ROCK it!!

We ran at the Horry County Bike & Run park, great place to run or bike and the trails were very well maintained. I did determine that I can never go there alone because you guys wouldnt see me again for days, I would be so lost!!

See!!! Do you see all the twist and turns?? Yea, sorry Mikie, I will always require your guidence.

The above is the group photo prior to, I can promise you I didnt look like that when I finished…..

And you dont get awesome dirt lines like these ones running on no pavement!

The sad part…..yall know how much I loved these shoes, I guess they will now be my trail running shoes. The happy part….I need another pair of shoes now. Ya know because these are dirty 🙂

Last pic I promise!!! Check out this cross in the middle of the trail. My picture sucks because I was trying to run, not trip over a stump, take a picture and look for snakes all at the same time, but seriously how awesome is that!!!!

Step out of your comfort zones, try new things, meet new amazing friends. Thats what life is all about. You never know when you may fall in love with a new hobby and the people you meet along the way are just the cherry on top of the banana split ( yes I have ice cream on my brain) 🙂

Happy running 🙂
